TSI on April 5, 2022

  • Next year our school will expand to include grades 9-12.  We will be offering the usual core classes for high school:

    • Biology
    • Algebra
    • Geometry
    • US History
    • ELA
    • as well as other core classes.

We will also be offering Career and Technology Education classes (CTE) such as business, agriculture, media, computer, and other classes.  Some of our course work will be offered through Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) and students will be able to receive dual credit for high school and college credit.

In order for our 8th grade students to be able to begin to take college or trade school classes in 9th grade they will need to take a college readiness test called the TSI (Texas Success Initiative) test before receiving college credit. A WCJC representative will be on campus to give the TSI test to all of our 8th grade students on April 5.  This cost of this test is free for your students for the first attempt.

Encourage your student to do their best on this test.  Passing the test will open up opportunities for your child to take college and/or trade school classes in future years.
